Dave Hollister, formerly of Teddy Riley's Blackstreet is back, with his sophomore solo album, Chicago '85 ... the Movie. Dave Hollister's signature street savvy, hard edged style is evident in this great album. You'll hear the rich R&B grooves and feel the underlying romance in this album. His first solo album, Ghetto Hymns, was certified gold and rose to the Top 5 on the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Chart. If the reaction to the first single "One Woman Man" is any indication, the 13 song album, Chicago '85 is another winner! This hard hitting soulful R&B album is all about relationships and "keeps it real". Hollister starts out powerfully with "Keep on Lovin'" and doesn't let up, other first half songs include, "Take Care of Home" and "You Can't Say". Many will identify with "Yo Baby's Daddy", "Destiny", "Doin' Wrong" and the surefire favorite "A Woman Will". Dave Hollister finishes this album finishes with a very strong ballad, "I'm Not Complete", that showcases his outstanding vocal ability and talent. Dave Hollister says, "In finishing this album, I've evolved into a better Dave Hollister, better than I've ever been." We agree. Look for the album here and in record stores on November 21st, 2000. |
